Doggy Daybreaks began with a dog named Rufus—a gentle soul who was deeply loved. When Rufus was diagnosed with cancer at age eight, Jan Archer, our founder, was told he had just three months to live. Determined to make every moment count, Jan set out to give him his best day ever—every single day. From favorite treats and walks to quiet moments of joy, Rufus’s final year was filled with love and life.

After he passed, Jan couldn’t shake one question: Why do we wait until the end to give our dogs their best days? That question became the heart of Doggy Daybreaks. Our mission is to help busy pet parents give their dogs their best life ever—from the very start.
